Academy to offer more hunter’s education courses

The Caddo/Bossier Youth Hunter Education Club,in conjunction with the Shreveport Police Department, will be hosting two sessions of the Louisiana Hunter Safety Program.

The two sessions will be held Sept. 5-8 and Sept. 19-22. Each course is held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. The classes are held at the Shreveport Regional Police Academy, 6440 Greenwood Road.

Students must attend the entire session to receive certification. Each session is limited to 50 participants. Children under the age of 10 may attend but cannot be certified. Hunter’s education is required for all hunters born after Sept. 1, 1969.
