Man in Greenwood Road fatality identified

Police have notified the family of a Converse, La., man who died after hitting a power line pole in the 3900 block of Greenwood at 9:30 last night.

Harold Valley, 56, of Converse was driving a 1997 Chevy pickup truck when he hit the pole. No skid marks were observed at the scene, and the crash is under investigation. It is possible that the man had a medical problem.

The coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
