Nineteen business robberies have been cleared or closed following an investigation into Deandre Lias, 19, of Shreveport.

Lias was shot and killed during a robbery of the Tool House at 4101 Hearne Avenue on July 20, but it is believed he committed many other offenses.

Eight business robberies have been cleared with Lias being identified as the suspect. Meanwhile, Lias fits the descriptions of suspects in 10 other robberies. Investigation into those 10 cases has been suspended unless new information can be obtained.

At the time of his death, Lias was wanted for the attempted first-degree murder of 43-year-old Willie Hall on May 9. Hall was shot once in the stomach during a robbery in the 5700 block of Bellar.

Lias had been released from jail April 19 after a charge against him for the armed robbery of the Video One store on Shreveport-Barksdale was dropped. He was a suspect in four other cases at that time, including the robberies of a Texaco store, Fina station, Easy Pay Furniture and Pizza King.

After his release, 14 other robberies occurred in which Lias may have been involved.
