Police search for drive-by shooter

Police hope residents can assist them in capturing 24-year-old Anthony Newson of Shreveport.

Newson is wanted for illegal use of a weapon from a motor vehicle for a March 11 incident in which he fired gunshots at a home in the 900 block of Lewis Place.

No one was injured at the time of the shooting, but it is believed Newson shot at the house because of some type of domestic dispute.

Newson is known as "Nasty Newson" and has a tattoo depicting his nickname on his right arm. He also has a scar above his right eye.

Anyone with information about Newson’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or the detective’s office at 673-6955.
