Police Department promotes three

Three people were promoted within the ranks of the Shreveport Police Department this afternoon.

Sgt. Linda Kinchen, who has been with the department for 20 years, was promoted to lieutenant.

Cpl. Michael Bailey, who has been with the department for 14 years, was promoted to sergeant.

And Officer Thomas L. Morgan, who has been with the department for 9 years, was promoted to corporal.

A ceremony was held at 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Shreveport Police Facility. Refreshments were served by the Shreveport Police Officers Association Local #75.
