Police look for shooting suspect

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 21-year-old man who shot another man at the H&H Lounge on Feb. 15.

Walter Lee Dallas of the 1600 block of Ashton is wanted for attempted second-degree murder. Bond has been set at $75,000.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on Feb. 15, Dallas allegedly shot Rodney Marquis Hill in the abdomen, right arm and neck. His injuries were non- life-threatening, and he was transported to LSU Hospital for treatment.

The victim and suspect reportedly had been feuding because Hill supposedly robbed Dallas weeks prior to the shooting.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dallas is asked to call the detective’s office at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
