Shreveport detective nabs Lafayette suspect

A stake out of a home in the 400 block of Browning Street proved successful for Shreveport Detective Tom Oster, who arrested a suspect wanted for attempted first-degree murder in Lafayette.

Shreveport Police assisted the Lafayette Police Department in searching for Yousha Roynell Jones, 26, of Lafayette.

Oster saw Jones with his girlfriend in a car about 7:45 this morning and arrested him.

Jones is accused of robbing a man and shooting him in the face in Lafayette in January. He will be transferred back to Lafayette to face prosecution.
