Man shot in head dies of his injuries

Reginald Davis, 17, of Shreveport, died last night of injuries he sustained after being shot in the head early Tuesday morning.

Police initially reported that Davis had died of his injuries, but he actually was held on life support. He was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday at LSU Health Sciences Center.

The incident occurred at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday at 2125 Ragsdale. Another man, 20-year-old Alginon Shepard, was shot in the hand and transported to LSU by private auto.

Police are investigating what happened in the incident and have interviewed the alleged shooter in the case. It is possible the shooting happened while the individuals involved were arguing. No charges have been filed at this time.
