Man shot in head receives minor wound

Police arrested a 58-year-old man on charges of attempted second-degree murder and possession of marijuana after he shot another man.

Richard Brown of Shreveport was arrested for shooting Robert Washington, age unknown, in the head about 9 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 1034 Sprague Street.

Washington was not seriously injured, but he was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center for treatment. He was able to talk to police at the scene.

A gun was recovered at the suspect’s apartment nearby.
