Man stabbed to death by brother

A 47-year-old man died this morning after being fatally stabbed by his brother.

Otis Davis, 47, was charged with second-degree murder after his 45-year-old sibling, Ernest Davis, died of knife wounds.

The incident occurred about 7 a.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Oxford. The two brothers lived at the home together.

The stabbing occurred while the two men were arguing over a door being left open that allowed cold air to get inside the home.

Police reports said Otis Davis went to the kitchen, got a knife and stabbed his brother. His brother was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center, where he later died.
