Man arrested for kidnaping woman

A 25-year-old Shreveport man was taken into custody this morning after holding a woman hostage and holding police at bay for about three hours.

Marlo Mack is charged with second-degree kidnaping for the abduction of a 22-year-old Shreveport woman.

A group of about six people dropped Mack off at his Cedar Grove home at 613 Damaka Street around 6 a.m. They had previously been to a party.

When Mack was going inside, he asked the female victim to go in with him. She refused, and Mack pulled a gun and forcibly took her inside the house.

After family members and police officers spoke to him, Mack came out of the house and was taken into custody.

Police plan to also charge Mack with five counts of aggravated assault for pointing a gun at the people who dropped him off. He also will be charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
