ADMINISTRATIVE CONFERENCE

MAY 24, 2002

    The Administrative Conference of the City Council of the City of Shreveport, State of Louisiana, was called to order by Vice-Chairman Roy Burrell, at 3:15 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2002, in the Government Chambers in Government Plaza (505 Travis Street).

    Invocation was given by Councilman Spigener.

    On Roll Call, the following members were Present: Councilmen Carmody, Spigener, Shyne and Burrell. 4. Absent: Councilman Pearl Huckaby, Stewart and Serio. 3.

    44 Donating police communications equipment to the Southern University Police in Shreveport, La. (A/Huckaby)

    45 Authorizing the Mayor to make application with the U. S. Dept. of Justice, Office of Justice Programs.

    46 Authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement on Air Quality with the City of Bossier City, Caddo Parish Commission, and Bossier Parish Police Jury. (City-wide)

    47 Endorsing and supporting Senate Bill No. 72 of the 2002 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, or similar legislation, which authorizes the citizens of Shreveport to approve an additional 1/4 cent Sales and Use Tax for salaries, benefits, equipment and personnel for the Fire and Police Departments.     71 ZONING: C-28-02, ZONING AMENDMENT, amending Sec. 106-1130 (f)(2) a, by modifying the requirements for telecommunication towers allowed as specified permitted uses.
