(All Districts) (Postponed August 10, 2010) 176 To recognize USW/PACE International Union and USW/PACE Local 13-25 as the exclusive representative agent for the City Employees and for the purpose stated herein, providing relative to resolution of employee issues and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (A/Lester) 177 Authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement with Grambling State University relative to the Port City Classic Football Game, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 178 Authorizing the use of certain City-owned equipment by the Junior League of Shreveport Bossier, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 179 Authorizing the Mayor to make application with the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement through the Northwest Law Enforcement Planning Agency, and otherwise provide with respect thereto. 180 Authorizing the Mayor to apply for grant funds from the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, Louisiana Highway Safety Commission Statewide FY 2010 Fatal and Injury Crash Reduction Project, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 181 Authorizing the Mayor to make application with the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, and otherwise provide with respect thereto. 182 Ratifying the waiver of the building rental fees for use of Riverview Hall and fees for the use of Police Officers and Police vehicles for funeral escorts and other services on August 7, 2010 in connection with the funerals and repass for the six (6) victims of the tragedy which occurred on the red River on August 2, 2010, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 187 Accepting dedication for Lake Street in City of Shreveport Subdivision, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. (B/Walford) 188 Declaring the City’s interest in certain adjudicated properties as surplus, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. (A/Lester/B/Walford/C/Long/D/Wooley/F/Shyne/G/Bowman) 189 Requesting Governor Bobby Jindal, Governor of the State of Louisiana and Stephen Moret, Secretary of Louisiana Economic Development to provide assistance to the City of Shreveport relative to the Schlumberger Economic Development Project, a project which benefits the State of Louisiana, and otherwise provide with respect thereto. (E/Webb) 190 Endorsing and supporting the submission of an application by the Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport to the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency for 2010 Low Income Housing Tax Credits and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 191 Supporting an application for the creation of the Highland Community Cultural District in Shreveport, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTIONS: (Not to be adopted prior to September 14, 2010) 192 Authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement with the Shreveport Regional Sports Authority relative to the State Fair of Louisiana Football Game, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 193 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into an interlocal agreement with Jefferson Parish for short term storage of transit buses on an emergency basis, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. 194 Authorizing the Mayor to execute right of way and easement with Louisiana Midstream Gas Services, L.L.C., for the construction and maintenance of an underground electric line, and related facilities on city property, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (E/Webb) 195 Authorizing the Purchasing Agent to dispose by public auction of surplus items, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 196 Stating the City of Shreveport’s endorsement of Schlumberger Technology Corporation to participate in the benefits of the Louisiana Restoration tax abatement program, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (A/Lester) 117 Amending and re-enacting portions of Chapter 22 of the Code of Ordinances relative to Building Permits, fences around swimming pools, and the enforcement of such provisions, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 118 Authorizing an amendment to the Lease Agreement with the Salvation Army and to otherwise provide with respect thereto (Not to be adopted prior to September 28, 2010) 119 ZONING – C-45-10: Amending Chapter 106 of the Code of Ordinances, the City of Shreveport Zoning Ordinance, by rezoning property located on the SE corner of Buncombe Road and Best Drive, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, from B-1 Buffer Business District to B-1-E, Buffer Business/Extended Use District, limited to “all uses allowed by right in the B-1 District and the uses listed below”, only, And to provide with respect thereto. (E/Webb) 120 ZONING – C-52-10: Amending Chapter 106 of the Code of Ordinances, the City of Shreveport Zoning Ordinance, by rezoning property located on the east side of Youree Drive, 310 feet north of Archer Avenue, Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana, from SPI-1-3-E (B-1), Commercial Corridor Overlay/Extended Use (Buffere Business) District to SPI-3-E, Commercial Corridor overlay/Extended Use (Buffer Business) District limited to “A Women’s Boutique only”, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. ORDINANCES ON SECOND READING AND FINAL PASSAGE (Numbers are assigned Ordinance Numbers) 105 An Ordinance authorizing the city to convey title to a portion of city-owned property located in Section 6, Township 16 North, Range 14 West, Caddo Parish, Louisiana acquired from Parish Realty, L.L.C., pursuant to that certain “irrevocable donation of property to be used as public road”; authorizing assignment of the mineral lease affecting the said property; authorizing the mayor to execute all documents relative to the conveyance and the assignment; and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
