RESOLUTIONS ON SECOND READING AND FINAL PASSAGE OR WHICH REQUIRE ONLY ONE READING 09 A resolution authorizing the execution of an amendment to the performance based energy efficiency contract with Johnson Controls, Inc. and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (Postponed January 26, 2010) 11 Declaring certain boxing equipment a surplus property; Authorizing the donation of the surplus property to Jerry Stephens D/B/A Road to Glory Association; and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. (A/Lester/B/Walford/C/Long/F/Shyne/G/Bowman) 18 Declaring the intention of the City of Shreveport (“The City”) to proceed with the issuance of not to exceed Fifteen Million and No/100 Dollars ($15,000,000) (taxable and/or tax exempt) water revenue bonds (Shreveport Water Improvement Project), Series 2010 to be issued through the Louisiana Local Government environmental facilities and Community Development Authority (The “LCDA”) for the purpose of financing the cost of acquisition and construction of improvements, extensions and replacements to the drinking water portion of the City’s utility system, making application to the LCDA and Louisiana State Bond Commission (The “SBC”) for approval of such bonds, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. B. INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTIONS: (Not to be adopted prior to February23, 2010) 19 Authorizing the Mayor’s signature on a permit to encroach on a portion of Cross Lake Below the 172 foot contour line, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. (A/Lester) 20 Authorizing the Mayor to donate surplus police equipment to the City of Robeline Police Department, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 21 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a mutual aid agreement for critical incidents involving explosive devices between the City of Shreveport and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 22 Declaring the intention of the City of Shreveport (The “City”) to hire professionals in conjunction with the ($15,000,000) taxable (and/or tax exempt) Water Revenue Bonds (Shreveport Water Improvement Project), Series 2010 to be issued through the Louisiana Local Government environmental facilities and Community Development Authority (The “LCDA”) for the purpose of financing the cots of acquisition and construction of improvements, extensions and replacements to the drinking water portion of the City’s utility system, making application to the LCDA and Louisiana State Bond Commission (The “SBC”) for approval of such bonds, and otherwise providing with respect thereto. 23 Authorizing the execution of a contract for parking system management with the Downtown Development Authority of The City of Shreveport, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 24 Authorizing renewal of the agreement with SMG for management and operation of the Shreveport Convention Center: Authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents to evidence such renewal; and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 25 Authorizing the Mayor to accept a donation from Willis Knighton Health Systems and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 26 Authorizing the execution of an agreement to renew the management agreement with SMG for the Shreveport Convention Center, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. C. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES: (Not to be adopted prior to February23, 2010) 13 Amending the 2010 Community Development Special Revenue Fund Budget, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. 14 Amending the 2010 Grants Special Revenue Fund Budget, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto. D. ORDINANCES ON SECOND READING AND FINAL PASSAGE (Numbers are assigned Ordinance Numbers) 160 A Supplemental Ordinance amending and supplementing Resolution No. 131 of 1984 (the “General Bond Resolution”) adopted on June 12, 1984, as amended, acknowledging and approving the issuance of not to exceed $15,000,000 principal amount of Taxable Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2009C, of the City of Shreveport, State of Louisiana, in accordance with the terms of Resolution 170 of 2009 adopted on September 8, 2009; approving and confirming the sale of such bonds; pledging revenue of the System to secure such bonds; designating said Bonds as Build America Bonds pursuant to Section 54AA of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended; prescribing the form, and certain terms and conditions of said Bonds; and providing for other matters in connection therewith. (Postponed January 26, 2010) 04 Amending and reenacting Article IV of Chapter 66 of the Code of Ordinances relative to Sick Leave Donations, and to otherwise provide with respect thereto.
