Due to the Transportation Security Administration heightening threat levels today to Level Orange, Shreveport Regional Airport has been directed by the TSA to immediately re-implement numerous security measures.

Some measures the public may notice:

Vehicles entering the short-term parking lot are subject to inspection by the Shreveport Airport Authority Police Department.

Parking in the QuickPark lot on the north side of the airport terminal will be prohibited within 300 feet of the terminal.

The rental car return lots will be closed temporarily until new spaces can be designated. In the meantime, the rental car companies will handle returns from their individual service lots.

"The Shreveport Airport Authority appreciates the cooperation provided by its customers in dealing with the new directives by the Transportation Security Administration," said Roy H. Miller, Jr., Director of Airports for the Shreveport Airport Authority. "We will continue to work with the public and the TSA to make sure the airport is safe and secure, yet convenient to use for our customers in the Ark-La-Tex region."
