Cargill Regional Park
Before
This park is located in an area that was previously a bulk above ground petroleum storagetank facility.
The City was interested in expanding the park, which had a softball field complex, to include a soccer field complex. However, the implementation of the project was delayed to ensure that prior site usage did not constitute an environmental health hazard.
Through the Brownfields program, site assessments were performed which allowed the site to be used for the new complex.
