PURPOSE

To receive authorization from the Shreveport City Council to allow a connection to the City’s water system.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

William McKenzie Hancock & Sarah Carlisle Hancock. have made a formal request to connect to the City’s water system. They have agreed to comply with all regulations required by the City of Shreveport with regard to the property, as set forth in Section 94.1, et. Seq.,of the Shreveport City Code. The property is located near Council District D, and is not contiguous to the City limits. The property description is as follows:

A tract of land in Section 16, Township 16 North, Range 13 West, being Lot 16, Woodstock Estates Subdivision, as per plat filed and recorded in Book 1400, Page 209, of the Conveyance Records of Caddo Parish, Louisiana, and bearing Caddo Parish Tax Assessor’s Geographical Number 161316-004-0016, and having a municipal address of 327 Maggie Lane.

RESOLUTION NO. _____________ of 2009

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WILLIAM MCKENZIE HANCOCK & SARAH CARLISLE HANCOCK, LOCATED AT 327 MAGGIE LANE TO CONNECT TO THE WATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF SHREVEPORT AND OTHERWISE PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.

WHEREAS, William McKenzie Hancock & Sarah Carlisle Hancock have agreed to secure all permits and inspections required by the Shreveport Comprehensive Building Code. Said party having submitted a petition for annexation to the City of Shreveport, and having agreed to fully comply with the regulations of the City of Shreveport in connection with said property, all as set forth in Section 94-1, et. Seq., of the Shreveport City Code. Said request and petition are attached hereto.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shreveport in due, regular and legal session convened, that William McKenzie Hancock & Sarah Carlisle Hancock be authorized to connect the structure, located at 327 Maggie Lane to the water & sewer system of the City of Shreveport.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if any provisions or items of this resolution or the application thereof are held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions, items or applications of this resolution which can be given effect without the invalid provisions, items or applications, and to this end, the provisions of this resolution are hereby declared severable.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that resolutions or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
