To adjust funds within the 2009 Airports Enterprise Fund Budget by increasing Transfer from General Fund by $64,000, and by increasing Personal Services by $64,000. To appropriate funds for a revenue-guarantee for new airline service at the Shreveport Regional Airport.

This will allow for a one-time pay award of $1000 for employees designated by Resolution 217 of 2009.
The Shreveport Airport Authority and Branson Airport have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding non-stop, low-fare airline service between the two cities. The two parties have negotiated an agreement with ExpressJet Airlines to provide three round-trip flights per week between the two cities for a trial six-week period during Branson’s holiday season. If successful, the service can be re-established in the Spring travel season. The two cities have entered into a revenue-guarantee based agreement and the cost to the Shreveport Airport Authority shall not exceed $65,000. Airport Management is requesting that funds are transferred from the Airport’s Operating Reserves in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Shreveport Airport Authority and Branson Airport.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2009 AIRPORTS ENTERPRISE FUND BUDGET, AND TO OTHERWISE PROVIDE WITH RESPECT THERETO.
By:
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to amend the 2009 budget for the Airports Enterprise Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Shreveport, in legal session convened, that Ordinance No. 132 of 2008, the Airports Enterprise Fund Budget, is hereby amended as follows:
In Section 1 (Estimated Receipts):
Increase Transfer from General Fund by $64,000.
In Section 2 (Appropriations):
Increase Personal Services by $64,000,
Increase Contractual Services by $65,000,
Decrease Operating Reserves by $65,000.
Adjust totals and subtotals accordingly.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the remainder of Ordinance 132 of 2008 shall remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that if any provision or item of this ordinance or the application thereof shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions, items or applications of this ordinance which can be given effect with out the invalid provisions, items or applications; and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all ordinances or portions thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
